Biography:

I was born in Minnesota but I have lived in Michigan since I was six years old. I am married and I have five children. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. I served in the U. S. Army and spent one year in South Vietnam. I retired after working for the State of Michigan for over 26 years. I worked for the Departments of Community Health, Education, and Human Services. I was an active AFSCME and UAW member, and I have held several union offices. Besides working for the State of Michigan I have worked on farms, in factories, for Michigan Bell Telephone, and for the U. S. Post Office.

I have been voting Green since 2000 and have been an active Green Party Member since 2002. I was a Green Party candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002 and 2004. I was the Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2008.

When I ran for Congress in 2002 I was opposed to starting a war in Iraq. When I ran in 2004, I was for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops form Iraq. I have been in the Peace Movement since becoming active in Vietnam Veterans Against the War in 1968. My campaigns have focused on bringing U.S. troops home immediately.

This year I will be campaigning to provide more educational opportunities and to make our enviornment better.
